They react to life — to air, skin, salt and movement — making every piece truly one of a kind. Nothing stays exactly the same, and that’s exactly the point.

Brass
Brass is one of the core materials used in Namas·Sea jewelry. It’s warm, golden and made to evolve.
What is brass?
Brass is a metal made from copper and zink. It has a natural golden tone, but uinlike gold, it changes over time — developing a deeper, more muted finish.
Does brass tarnish?
Yes. Brass naturally oxidized when exposed to air, moisture, and skin.
This can
- darkening of the metal
- a more matte or aged look
This is called a patina — and many people love it because is makes each piece unique.
Can brass turn your skin green?
Sometimes, yes. This depends on:
- your skin’s PH
- humidity
- sweat or water exposure
It is:
- completely harmless
- temporary
- easy to wash off
Can you shower or swim with brass jewelry?
It’s best to avoid it.
Water, especially saltwater and chlorinated water, will speed up oxidation and can affect the look of the piece.
How do you clean brass jewelry?
You can easily restore its shine:
- use a soft polishing cloth
- or a natural mix of lemon and baking soda
- rinse and dry well
Does brass last long?
Yes — brass is strong and durable.
With proper care, it can last for years and will continue to develop character over time.
Waxed Cord
Waxed Cord is used for it’s strength, flexibility, and natural feel.
What is waxed cord?
It’s a strong polyester thread coated with wax, making it:
- more durable
- semi water-resistant
- less likely to fray
Can it get wet?
Yes, occasionally. However:
- avoid long exposure to water
- let it dry naturally
Does waxed cord wear out?
Over time, the wax cord may soften, making the cord feel more natural and flexible. This is normal and part of its evolution.
Is it comfortable to wear?
Yes — it’s lightweight and soft on the skin, making it ideal for daily wear.
Why I use it?
Because is combines strength, comfort and gives that ultimate handcrafted structure — and it’s easy to work with. Each knot is tied by hand, making every piece unique.
Rocailles Preciosa
These beads are used to add depth, reflection, and sublte detail to pieces. Like sunlight reflection on water — sublte, but noticeable.
What are Rocailles Preciosa?
Rocailles Preciosa are high-quality glass seed beads made in the Czech Republic. They are known for their precision, smooth finish, and consistent sizing — making them ideal for detailed, handcrafted jewelry.
Are Preciosa beads durable?
Yes. These glass beads are made to be strong and long-lasting.
However, like all small beads, they should be handled with care to avoid impact of pressure.
Do glass beads fade or lose color?
No — their color remains vibrant over time and does not easily fade with normal wear.
Can they get wet?
Occasionally yes, but it’s best to avoid frequent exposure — especially with saltwater or chemicals — to protect the overall piece.
